Our Policies

Arrivals and Departures: Check-in is between 3pm to 7pm. We are happy to admit an early arrival if your room is ready; please call ahead to check. If you know that you will be arriving after 7 pm, please let us know so we can be sure someone is here to greet you. Check out is at 11am; if you need a late-check-out, please let us know; we will accommodate if at all possible. We will gladly store your luggage, allow you to park on the premises, and give you access to our common areas if your travel times vary.

Rates are based on single or double occupancy. There is a $30 charge for each extra person in rooms 6 & 7, including children.

Cuisine: A full 3-course breakfast is served each morning between 8am and 10 am in the dining room. Special dietary restrictions and children’s meals will be happily accommodated with advance notice. Coffee, tea, and water are available in the dining room around the clock.

Payment: A $50.00 deposit is taken at time of registration. We will keep the credit card you use to pay the deposit, on file. The balance of payment is expected upon check-out. If you would like to use a different credit card at that time - or split the bill with a travel companion, please let us know. We accept cash and all major credit cards

Cancellations: If you need to cancel your reservation, we request that you notify us via telephone or email at least 7 days prior to your arrival date. All cancellations will incur a $25.00 admin charge. Cancellations made less than 7 days from your arrival date will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to one night’s stay.

Weddings, and Special Events: To secure the entire inn for your special event please call 207-865-1338 to speak with Stephanie or Keith.

Room Selection: We will make every effort to honor your request for a particular room. That said, we reserve the right to change you to a similar room to accommodate other guests. We will notify you via email of any changes and honor the price you booked at.

Minimum Stays: At seasonal, special events, holidays, and festival times we may require a 2-night minimum stay. Please call for availability.

Safety and Health: The Kendall Inn is a smoke-free property, including the porch and outside areas. Those choosing to disregard our smoke-free policy will be subject to room cleaning fees and are responsible to compensate us for cleaning and any lost revenue when smoke renders a room unacceptable for incoming guests.

Families: Children are welcome at the Kendall Inn. Our property is not child-proofed, therefore we require parents to have their children with them at all times. A children’s menu is available on request. Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance of your arrival. We have a high chair, a booster seat, and a portable crib available for use by guests.

Pets: We do not accommodate pets. Please consider our neighbors at The Candlebay Inn for pet-friendly accommodations.

Thank you for following our policies. Please, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call us at any time.
